Winter Party + Activities

The kids enjoyed their Dippin' Dots when we came back to the classroom. 

 We took some group photos.

They had a fun book exchange.  

We also had a visit with our 3rd grade buddies. They came to our classroom to teach us how to do fact families. Everyone had a wonderful time!

Later, we had another classroom join us for some indoor fun. We built some fun Hot Wheels tracks.

Holiday Mini-Concert

We had one of the orchestra band directors come to school and give us a mini concert. The kids LOVED singing along to the holiday songs!

So much fun! We had some wonderful books...the kids were cracking up!

Indoor Recess

Brrrr...we've had some chilly days. However, we had fun playing games for indoor recess.

Grammar: Boot Scootin' Boogie

We have been discussing nouns and verbs in class for the past few weeks. Today we had some good ol' country fun with our Boot Scootin' Boogie activity.  I placed lettered cards on each desk throughout the classroom. The cards had a word on it. Students wrote the word down and then had to decide if it was a noun or a verb. They LOVED dancing around to the music and then when it stopped, they found a word card and recorded it on their papers. We did this a few times since they had so much fun.

Thanksgiving Lunch

One of our favorite traditions is our Thanksgiving lunch. It is always so great getting so many people together to share a meal with. Thank you to all of the parents and family members that were able to come join us for lunch today. We are especially grateful for our kitchen staff who cooked hundreds of meals today.
